In Cards/ Catalogs/ Designer Series Papers/ Punches

February 17, 2015

I received today’s card from my friend Linda Willimer, a Stampin’ Up!’s demonstrator from New Jersey.  We met through Sudsol (Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators Sharing On Line >> see button on lower right sidebar).  Meeting her, and other friends throughout the US and Canada, is just another perk of being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.

Linda wasn’t able to attend SU!’s January Leadership Conference just a few days before it was time to be in Orlando due to the lousy weather on the East Coast.  She was planning on being a part of Sudsol’s card front swap but that was not to be.  We worked it out that I would collect cards from the other members for her (and send them to her once I returned home) and she would, in turn, mail one of her cards to each of them.

Blossom Punched cards with Paper Piecing

There’s more than initially meets the eye on this amazing card!

I know Linda used the Big Shot (and a die but I can’t figure out which one) to cut out the flower.  The neat thing is that she took the punched out flower and covered it with strips of the All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack, then re-cut the flower to trim off the ends of designer paper and repositioned it in the hole.  Finally she stamped the greeting using Mossy Meadow classic ink an punched out a Melon Mambo butterfly using the Itty Bitty Butterfly punch.

Thank you for visiting again today.  I’m not sure yet what tomorrow will bring.  I’m still working on cleaning and reorganizing my room, I have a class on Wednesday (to finish prepping for) and we have house guests.  No worries!

Have a great Tuesday.
