February 6, 2015

I got to spend the night at my daughter’s home last night.  This morning  at breakfast, before school, my 8 year old granddaughter brought out their January Paper Pumpkin kit which has been awaiting the ‘perfect moment’ to start.

I had shown her my completed kit (see yesterday’s post) and her eyes got big and bright.  Her mom also informed me that she would be using these for her class at school.  AND that she needed 6 more.

We got started with her kit, punching out the pieces and then placing Glue Dots (provided in the kit) between the layers of the banner pieces.  After school today or on Saturday, they’ll need to stamp the hearts, punch them out and attach them to the banner ‘flags’.  A few more steps will follow: filling the cello bags (24 provided in the kit), laying the big folded banner in place and pinching the bags closed with the provided clips.  Tie the ribbon and d-o-n-e.  Cute as a button.  Or—cute as a Valentine treat bag.

Thanks for stopping by so late in the day.  I’ll have some fun and new ideas tomorrow since I’ll be home!  What a great idea.  What are YOU stamping this weekend?
