FESTIVAL OF TREES – GOING TO THE DENTIST ISN’T ALL BAD!

Months ago, at the Royal Crapper Derby in Twain Harte, California I had a hidden craft booth.  I was positioned behind Krinkles the Clown!  She had a lot of business but most people didn’t see beyond her to my booth.  But–the office manager of our dentist saw me and purchased five or six of my cards.  Made my day!

A few weeks ago when I had my regular dental cleaning she asked if I was participating in in the Opera House (gold rush historic building) craft fair on the weekend after Thanksgiving.  Nope I said.  I was pretty much done with craft fairs.  But……I also said I could bring in my holiday cards from classes and blog ideas for her to look at.  What a great idea!!!

Today’s project is a mini “card”, a 3-1/2″ square reduction of a full sized card that the receptionist saw in my basket.  Rather than a card she wanted it to be signed piece of art that she would frame!  Uh, OK!

This is the card that Holly wanted a smaller version of.

Creating the smaller version of this card was a fun challenge.

Klipple's phone box in snow
This is the phone box my husband made for me several years ago. It’s definitely our back yard icon!  That’s national forest you’re looking at in the distance.  Photo is from several winters ago.
