Sharing Sweet Thoughts in a Jar

July 14, 2017

I’m Sharing Sweet Thoughts and a good morning from Boise, Idaho!  After a long drive, my husband and I arrived here yesterday to visit my daughter, Andrea, and her family in their new “far away from us” home.  Rather than being just over two hours away they’re now nearly 11 hours away.  Seeing them is fabulous.

Before I left home I took a few hours to use a new 2017-2018 stamp set found just inside the back cover of the new catalog:  Sharing Sweet Thoughts, the Ronald McDonald House Charities stamp set.  Stampin’ Up! donates $3 to the RMHC each time one of these sets is purchased.  So far they’ve donated over $1.5 million.

What’s my favorite thing about this set?  It uses the Everyday Jars Framelits Dies.

And here’s my simple card which is just waiting for a greeting when I know to whom I’m sending it:

Using my Aqua Painter, I put a very thin and light wash of Soft Sky classic ink inside the jar and then used my Basic Black Marker to draw a random line around the perimeter.

Now all I have to do is add my greeting when I want to send it to that someone special.

If you haven’t yet added this Ronald McDonald stamp set to your collection, please think about it.  You get double ‘bang for your buck’ if you already have the Everyday Jar Framelits.  Or add them to your order along with the stamp set, if you don’t.  Click on an photo and you’ll be in my Stampin’ Up! online store.  Need a catalog?  Send me an email and I’ll send you one.
