VARIATIONS ON A STAMP SET: HAPPY SCENES

October 5, 2015

After making the sweet simple autumn pumpkin card at the Mi Wuk Library in September using the Happy Scenes photopolymer stamp set, I was determined to see if I could use either, or both, of the tree vignettes for a similar simple card.

Mission accomplished:

Happy Scenes (139821). $21.00

Happy Scenes (139821). $21.00

Vertical looks great.  Confession:  I used a ‘scrap’ of Whisper White card stock and decided it needed to be layered; hence the layer of Old Olive card stock between the white layers.  Not quite so simple but still quick and easy.

Happy Scenes (139821). $21.00

Horizontal also looks great.

Happy Scenes (139821). $21.00

Sometimes simple is just sweet.  The tree was stamped with Early Espresso, color wiped off with a q-tip from the birds and then the birds were colored with a Real Red marker and filled in using a Blender Pen to pull the color.

Happy Scenes (139821). $21.00

Little red birds, pine trees and pumpkins, all from one stamp set:  Happy Scenes.

If you’re looking for a purely simple card, fast and easy, try these.
