I’m looking forward to World Card Making Day on Saturday, a day to make cards, and even more important, to send them! I have to say I LOVE making cards, but getting them into the mail is too often my challenge.
Don’t forget my open studio on Saturday, October 6th in Mi-Wuk Village.
- two make and take card projects
- grab bag for all orders placed over $50. Yes, online orders count as well.
- retired stamp sets for sale at l-o-w prices. They need a new home.
Do you have cards already made? (Like I do!) Even cards that you’ve mentally designated for a certain person? Make sure you have a good calendar with names filled in on their special day so you can remember to mail them in time! If you have a calendar on your computer set a reminder for 5 days ahead of mailing time. If you’re mailing from California to Boise Idaho make that 7 days ahead of time. (I think they use pony express there.)
Make it your goal (speaking to myself as well) to get those cards addressed and ready to send at the beginning of each month! Getting a hand stamped card in the mail is almost like getting a hug from the sender, or conversely, it’s like sending a hug in the mail to your recipient. And you know how good a hug feels. And a hug os good for your health as well.
Remember that Stampin’ Up! is celebrating World Card Making Day with a sale ALL WEEK LONG! 10% off of selected products. Click back to Monday’s blog post for the specifics and be sure to take advantage of the discount. I know I ordered some extra adhesives. And remember that I’m celebrating World Card Making Day on Saturday in my stampin’ studio here in Mi Wuk Village. If you can’t get here personally (like you live out of state or just too far away) online orders over $50 will also receive a grab bag sent to you via snail mail.
(Yes, I’m going to Orlando FL in November to attend Stampin’ Up!’s 30th anniversary On Stage Convention!)
